Hi there. New to this board and have been trying to ask a question
for 3 weeks but too stupid to find the button!
Anyway, seem to have sorted it now. I am not familiar with all the
different types of visas available. We have applied for a 457
sponsored visa, as partner has been offered a job. We were told this
was the quickest - given the impression that permanent ones could
take anything up to 2 years and did not want to wait that long.
Does anyone know roughly how long these 457 visas are taking?
We have only been asked to have xrays and not medicals as these
apparently are not required - just wondering about that as looking at
previous posts, everyone seems to have had full medicals.
Sorry to be so silly, but new to computer world, new to this site,
and new to the idea of chaning our life to live in Australia - all
very exciting.
