Thanks for replying. We have gone with a recruitment agency in
Australia. They recommended their migration specialists in Sydney. Went
into it a bit blind really.They will sponsor us for a 457 and I presume
just reading their letter they will on something called Employer
Nomination Scheme Permanent Residence. They recommended we go for the
457 because we are 45 and 46 years of age, and they wanted my partner
for work asap. They told us that permanent residence would be harder to
get from over here and take up to 2 years, in which case we would be a
lot older. we would like to apply for permanent residency asap when we
eventually get there just for security really, as the 4 years visa is a
bit uncertain. The Company have advised that we just have to keep
renewing it every 4 years, but of course we will be tied to them and
never be able to leave their employ. I wished we had found this site
sooner and looked into everything a bit more. We just thought get the
visa then decide
