Anyone got any updates on this?

Looking at Fact Sheet 26, it says:


"From 1 July 2006, migrants who enter under the Skilled Designated Area
Sponsored category will be required to live in the same area as their
sponsor for a minimum of two years before obtaining permanent
residence."

Which makes it sound like any entry to the country (as opposed to
awards, applications, etc.) fall into this new category.
