If a PR has a child in the UK (or anywhere outside Australia) then it
gets *no* status in Australia and has to be sponsored for migration.
Usually via a Child visa (with fees, medicals etc).
If you sponsor your wife for a PR visa, the children can normally be
included on that visa without a need for a separate child visa
application.
You're looking for an answer that isn't there. If you want your wife
and children to have PR and ultimately citizenship, you need to sponsor
for a visa and that's that.
You are least are in a position where you are eligible to sponsor, many
people in similar situations are not.
