Just want to express my views on IT people wishing to come to Aus. This
country is not so advanced in IT market and the scope of IT market is
very very small. In addition there are tens of thousands of Masters in
IT field coming out of Unis, especially those coming here for studies
and become PRs eventually, even if they need to spend around $8,000 for
becoming PRs.( I know one student getting his resources ready to spend
on buying an experience for applyig for PR ). Most of these PRs do get
and find jobs only in Coles and 7/11s. I recokon around 10% of these
students get jobs in IT market on a higher side, as I see from my
association with students.
I also saw lot of postings in this group about the pitiable job market
position and horrible stories of people from IT sector who come here
with lots of experience under their belt.
But still people with IT background eagerly try to come here. I really
don't undertand the rationale and logic!!
