Subject: Any Help with ACS RPL (Web Designer) Posted on: Mon, 17 Oct 2005 02:38:43 +0000

I've been in Oz for 6 years this is second 457 temp visa (yes I know why
haven't I applied earlier, long story)

I have about 8 years experience as a web designer/developer more a
designer than a developer. I've had a look at the RPL and CBOK in the
ACS application and well it's a little daunting to say the least.

I don't have a post grad degree, I did go to Uni but dropped out in 1st
year to get a job at a design agency.

I suppose what I want to know is, should I apply through the ACS and if
so how much of the RPL should I complete I know I should do as much as
possible but some of the headings I just have no idea if or how they
apply to my work.

I'm struggling with these 4 topics in particular:-

Software Engineering and Methodologies
Systems Analysis and Design
Data Structures and Algorithms
Discrete Mathematics

If there are any Web designers that have had a successful assessment I'd
really appreciate it if I you could let me know what areas you completed
or possibly show any examples you might have.
