Hi Kaushala

If your degree is recognised under either the Washington or Sydney
Accord, it is done on the qualification alone and you will get 60
points. You then need 12 months in the last 18 month period in ANY
skilled occupation. So youwould need to show that for at least the last
12 months that you worked at the professional IT level. So you should
have a few years of IT experience prior to this required 12 months of
skilled experience. Equally, you may need to claim points for Specific
Work Experience where you can show skilled Professional IT experience
for at least 3 years in the last 4 year period. Again, you will need a
few years of IT experience prior to the start of this 3 years to show
that you were skilled in IT back then. Also your points for Specific
Work Experience are likely to be downgraded from 10 to 05 as your
specific experience is found not to be closely related to your nominated
occupation.
