Skill Matching Database? Posted on: Tue, 15 Nov 2005 11:40:46 +0000

Hi there,

We've applied for a skilled independent visa on MODL.
We had our request for medicals and police clearances and the last
paragraph in the letter was inviting us to register details on the skill
matching database. I don't think it was mandatory and I've ignored it
but my question is why was that there? I thought that skill matching was
if you didn't have enough points you go onto the database and you then
hope that a state will sponsor you etc.

Is this normal - does everyone as standard get this paragraph on the
request letter for meds/PCC?

Thanks
