VETASSESS and DIMIA Posted on: Thu, 24 Nov 2005 11:20:37 +0000

I don’t know whether anyone will be able to help with this query –
perhaps one of the agents if they have time or someone who has been
through this part of the migration process?

I have got the opportunity to move in to a role which resembles quite
closely that of project/program administrator. I know that this is
assessed by VETASSESS and have a degree so think I wouldn’t have a
problem getting a positive assessment from them but how do they decide
at the DIMIA that your recent work experience (which I will need 2 years
of) is in the right occupation? Do they also assess your job
description and decide whether it is close enough to that occupation or
do they just rely on what VETASSESS say?

I’m asking before I move in to the role as I don’t want to do so if
it wouldn’t help with our application in a few years time.

I would really appreciate any guidance/pointers anyone is able to offer.

Thanks
