We haven't landed a week ago, in fact almost a year ago now but just got
our permanent residency 2 months ago (2 months gone - already!)
I don't mind if it's 2 or 3 years for citizenship, 2 years doesn't seem
a lot really. I don't see the problem really, either you want to live
here or you don't. Does it make a big difference if you're a citizen or
just a permanent resident? I must be missing something because I'm
really not bothered at the moment. Yes I will apply when I become
eligible but not just so I can get it and then leave the country.
