Heya,
I found that as well as Tony Said - its who ya know!! Some Gardai are
reluctant to do something thats out of the ordinary!! If by any chance
you live in Dublin take a trip out to Blanchardstown Station and try and
get your police checks from there......All the police clearance certs
(in Dublin anyway) have to go through Blanchardstown and they are the
only station that actually have a notice up telling you what is required
for clearance cert!!
Word of advice though - make sure you specify it is for the AUSTRALIAN
consulate - when i got mine back it was for the USA....
