Hi Tony,

Actually having been down that road with people a couple of times we've
found it difficult to shift the queue, and in some ways I can applaud
the ASPC for honouring the idea of a queue, given that they've done some
strange things to the concept in the past, notably the 1 July 2004
creation of two queues.

The most recent example I can remember of a client asking to lodge a
second application with some priority was last October, and the answer
we got, although it was a fair request, was "no".

With respect to Shaun's original request, another thought might be
that QS occupations may well be on STNI lists and he could submit an
STNI nomination even if pooled. That being said, a quick flick
through SA and Victoria didn't bring up QS as an occupation in demand
in those states.

Cheers,

George Lombard
