Actually if you're familiar with the expose Lords of Poverty I'd be
reluctant to use that particular pseudonym!
I was with UNHCR for four years and saw a number of logisticians in
action and I think that while it might be hard to justify conceptually
what a logistician does in terms of the SOL, it's most likely that he's
got a claim to being a Supply and Distribution Manager (which is on the
SOL), particularly if working for a UN agency in a place like Burma, but
there's a bit of a gulf between that and the next ASCO definition down,
which would be something like a Supervisor, Stock and Purchasing Clerks,
which is down in Chapter 6 of ASCO and certainly not on the SOL.
I agree with Tony that a quick fix might also be Business and
Information Professionals nec, but get him to look at Supply and
Distribution Manager in ASCO at http://www.abs.gov.au/Ausstats/abs@.ns-
