I am from SA and also English speaking like you, and wasn't asked for
IELTS. I did provide my degrees from English-speaking unis though, did
you? Maybe it is because people assume that all South Africans' first
language, if not an African language, is Afrikaans? Do you have an
agent or any higher educational degree or diploma certs you can submit?
What a pain! Good luck with it all. I hate inconsistencies like this.
