Hello John

I cannot comment on everyone's case, but I applied for citizenship at
the beginning of December (I am married to a British Citizen and have
been here nearly 4 years) and I got my "OK" through in about 3 weeks.

Had my ceremony already (18 January) and and now an official citizen.

Just remember if she applies now she needs to take the 'citizenship
test'. If you read the book recommended it is a doddle. (test costs
£34, book about £14, application for citizenship about £280)

Hope this helps in your choices

Regards
Abby
