Hi Tim
Well I have threatened DHL this morning.
They collected parcel Monday morning and today it is still showing up as
being at the DHL facility at Heathrow.
Contacted Interparcel as they are the ones we booked it through and DHL
said they are not sure if a tracking has been put on my parcel or not
and even if it is still in the UK.
Feeling extremely fed up to say the least, I phoned them and said 'The
information you have is extremely sensitive and in the wrong hands could
be open to abuse (it really can, I wont go into it, but lets just say
its to do with my husbands country of origin)'
I also said that as a trained newspaper journalist, if that parcel does
not turn up in NSW tomorrow, I will sing very loud and for long periods
to the biggest tabloid paper I can find.
She went very quiet and said 'I see what you mean. We shall HOPE it
turns up in Australia tomorrow'
They do say however, that sometimes if there are large numbers of
parcels, that not all of them are tracked and my parcel wont be lost.
'Well, I hope for your sake that it won't be' Was all I could say to
her.
Anyway, the upshot is, they are confident it will arrive in Oz tomorrow.
It isnt good enough though is it? Bloody hell, when Ive sent stuff
oridinary post to Oz, its got there in 4 days and to pay nearly 30
pounds is totally stupid if they cant deliver. :(
Good luck with your own parcel and let me know if it gets there Tim.
Samantha
