Has anyone succesfully changed their first entry date? ( Is it possible? ). Posted on: Sat, 18 Feb 2006 07:07:29 +0000

Hello all,

We had our 136 skilled independent - non MODL, acknowledged at the end
of November last year.

It is our intention to go on a validation / reccie trip in Easter 2007.

The November applicants are now starting to get co's allocated and we
have just booked our x-rays for 23rd Feb and medicals for 31st March.

From reading the sticky about validation, it would seem that we would
have to do our validation trip within 12 months of our medicals. So,
that would give us until March 31st 2007, ( a couple of weeks too early
for Easter ).

Should we wait until we are assigned a co and ask their advice,
explaining when we want to go and request that the entry date be after
Easter. Or, should I cancel our xrays and medicals, wait for a co to be
assigned, then book the xrays and medical for the end of April so we
have a better chance of a later entry date?

Thanks for any thoughts.
