Good news at last - but can we go to Hong Kong? Posted on: Wed, 15 Mar 2006 22:54:45 +0000

At long last, after two months of tests, I've been given the all-clear
by the specialist and he's writing to HSA today. Fingers crossed they
will release my medical report and I can send it off to the case officer
to join everything else, which has been sitting there, waiting for me to
pass the medical.

It's a big relief! My question now is:

We would have to leave Australia to get our 139 visa validated - can we
go to Hong Kong? Other half won a trip there (just for him, but I'll tag
along too).

There is an Australian mission there, and a DIMIA representative. It
just seems that most people go to NZ or Fiji in these circumstances.
