Thanks for the thoughtful and informative post and to all of you who
gave me input.

It's too late to get the NOIM taken care of, marry and gather all the
information ready that I would need to file for PR before my visa runs
out on 18 May. I have a six month extension from my original ETA now.
Yes .. it's a lot of stress to think about going all the way bakc


If I go to New Zealand, would I just file for another ETA from there?
What if they don't give it to me? :o( A friend of mine in Malaysia
(from Oz) told me to get married there, get an ETA and then return and
file for PR as a spouse. Is that possible?

Thanks again for all the input ... it's nice not to feel so alone in
all this red tape. :o)
