i wonder what the "correct" visa would be to live together if you are
not getting married? i am in a similar situation, my boyfriend is in
australia and i work in the UK. we have not been living together for
more than a couple of weeks in total. i don't know how to get the
required 12 months of living together- i need to sit exams to get my
degree registered, so no work visa possible until i have done that
(might take a couple of months or more than a year, during which i won't
be able to stay in australia). is there any bridging visa which would
allow me to stay in australia until i can apply for a spouse visa or
skilled migration? it is hard to maintain a relationship if you can't be
in the same country (and prove that you have one)!
