Many people on here have been in a similar situation to yourself.
I'd suggest doing a search to see how they have gone about tackling
this situation

It that it can be difficult and costly to obtain a court order or
statutory declaration giving you permission to take your children out of
the country

However, imagine how hard it would be if you were settled out there and
your ex found out and made a malicious phone call to DIMA telling them
that you had 'kidnapped' his children (ridiculous but possible
scenario)?

You would lose your entitlement to stay in Australia and would likely
lose your entitlement to return

Is this a risk you would want to take?

I believe that honesty is ALWAYS the best policy in these circumstances

Hope it all goes well for you

Good luck
