Hi All,

Any help would be HUGELY appreciated!

My Brazilian girlfriend would like to study a 12 month CRICOS course in
Oz.

However, I would like to show her Australia for a few months worth of
traveling before this would start. (I'm Australian)

Is it possible to apply for a student visa in Australia while on a 3
month tourist visa?
As a Brazilian she would be in the Assessment Level 2 bracket.

Would it be impossible? Or just slightly more risky? (We are confident
in our finances and securing a Cert of Enrolment)

What is the turn around time on student visa processing if you apply in
Oz?

If we get the student visa in Brazil, is it possible to travel to
Australia on a tourist visa before the student visa starts?
