Judy,
The DIMA visa application charge for a RSMS application is presently
A$1,340. The RSMS application process also involves obtaining clearance
from a Regional Certifying Body, and some RCBs charge a fee for this.
As Jeremy says you would be looking at medicals and police reports as
well - as you would if you were to obtain permanent residency via one of
the more traditional onshore categories after having spent two years
living in regional Australia.
