We are hoping to head off 30 October - depending on the house selling
easy & quickly.

This is our timeline

Christmas 2005/Jan 2006 - Kris started putting together his application
for his skills to be assessed by Engineers Australia.

1 February 2006 - sent application to Engineers Australia for skills
assessment.

6 March 2006 - received letter from Engineers Australia who had assessed
Kris as a Mechanical Engineering Technologist.

29 March 2006 - sent general skilled visa application off to Adelaide
Skilled Processing Centre.

11 April 2006 - Police checks came back clear

18 April 2006 - confirmation email from DIMIA that they have received
our application.

6 July 2006 - Police checks and marriage certificate sent to Adelaide

26 July 2006 - Got medicals at BUPA hospital.

31 July 2006 - Medicals went well - all ok and BUPA sent them off today

21 August 2006 - Yippie - Case Officer assigned.

23 August 2006 - oh my god - we have our visa - it has been granted
today - yippiee
