When the visa is granted you will get a letter giving you a certain
amount of time to leave Australia and get your visa. You will only need
to go to the one place, the one which you have nominated - either NZ or
UK, not both.

When you applied for the visa you nominated which place you wished to
have it granted. If you said the UK then you will EITHER have to go to
the UK, OR tell DIMA that you wish to change it to New Zealand,and go
there instead.
If you nominated New Zealand, they will just tell you you can fly to NZ.
