I only reaslised recently that I could be sponsored to work in Australia
after being told by agents for the last few years that there was no way
I would get a visa (ok, a skilled normal one I wouldn't).
So, I had been e-mailing someone in my field of work about jobs in Oz,
who told me he had one just being advertised, and would I like to apply.
It was advertised as one needing a working visa in place, so I let him
know all about the 457 visa, incase the personel department discarded
the application because of that.
It looks like they did as he e-mailed me today saying that he has been
reviewing the applications, and noticed mine wasn't there. He has asked
me to send it in again, and is looking into visas.
Yay, I am quite excited now. They have seen all of the applications,
and he has specifically noticed mine wasn't there, and 'strongly
encourages' me to send the application in if I'm still intested. Lets
hope the needing a visa/personel people don't put him off too much.
I know it still might not happen, but it is one step closer. :D
