Functional English ! Posted on: Thu, 02 Nov 2006 06:29:52 +0000

Hi folks

I have one problem with my case officer from ASPC.
Namely, my wife has IELTS results:
Listening: 5
Reading: 4.5
Writing: 4
Speaking: 5
This means overall Band Score: 4.5
My case officer wrote to me that it is not enough for her to be
functional. But on DIMIA web page http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/general-skilled-
migration/136/eligibility-english.htm
it is clearly written: "that functional English is a level that requires
an average
band score of at least 4.5 based on all four (4) components –
speaking, reading, listening, and writing".
I am in very difficult situation because I dont want to conflict with
him but on the other side EEC is almost 2600 A$
PLEASE HELP ME!

Anyway, I received acknowledgment for MODL BN-136 at 30th the March
2006.
15 day ago I frontloaded PCC and Medicals.

Thanks in advance!
