certainly the right way to proceed. If the case was dropped the
paperwork should go through to have the details removed. Lots of
reasons why it sometimes goes astray, and you will probably find its
in someone's intray and they just haven't had time to process it -
either the officer in the case, or the PNC Update Bureau or somewhere
in between.
When I worked in Fingerprints we had to follow up on unresolved
cases, the same when I worked in Vetting. In cases with Access to
Children it can makes a big difference whether a case is dropped, or
still in process.
