Change in Medical Response Times? Posted on: Sun, 12 Nov 2006 20:42:24 +0000

We were under the impression that the reponse time for medicals
was 70 days.

Our application for a 136 MODL visa arrived in Adelaide at the beginning
of June, and we included the PCC with it.

An email was sent to us by DIMIA last week asking for medicals within 28
days - this is in advance of a CO being assigned.

We had booked a medical for early December, but this is after the
deadline given. Booking an earlier medical would be difficult due to my
partner's shift patterns (she's a nurse).

We shall be asking for longer, but wondered if anyone could say whether
that would adversely affect the application?
