Just so you dont have to type the information Again! here is the answer
from C&R on a previous post

A visa application used to be allocated a region, dependent on which
country the application came from. Region 1 used to be China, also known
as the slowest one. But in recent months, this has proved to be not the
case, we are region 5 - but live in China. So there you go. I reckon
each application is dependent on a case officers work load, each case
officer is given a number = region. So the visas are no longer split
into regions per country, but regions per case officer workload. Of
course this could be totally wrong.
