Hi Asha

I am not unsympathetic to your predicament. However, there is no way
that either you or I can alter the rules about what the Australian
Government requires before it will grant one of its visas to someone.

Reading your various threads, it appears to be compulsory for you to
pass the IELTS if you want a visa for Oz that will confer Permanent
Residence from Day One. I fully understand that you booked to re-sit
the test, and I assume you are saying that the test-fee was almost a
month's salary.

The next thing, it seems, is that you became ill and were unable to go
for the test. Did you contact the test centre to explain that you were
ill and would therefore need to re-arrange the date of the test? I
would have thought that this could have been arranged, *provided that*
you contacted the test centre before the date of the test.

If you simply left them not knowing where you were or why you failed to
appear, I don't really see how you can expect a lot of sympathy from
them belatedly.

If what you are now saying is that you really cannot afford to re-sit
this test (but you have presumably recovered from whatever was making
you ill) then it seems to me that you will not be able to afford to
obtain a Permanent Residence visa for Australia, my friend.

However much we might want to (and I wish I could) none of us can
create a magical solution for you, unfortunately.

Can you do overtime or something to earn some extra money so that you
will be able to sit for the IELTS test another time? I cannot see any
other option, based on what you have said.

Regards

Gill
