This is a quote from the e-mail we received this morning:
OE Visas do not recommend obtaining your medicals and Police clearances
before they are requested by your case officer as DIMA have informed us
these should only be obtained when the request letter arrives. The case
officer allocated to your application performs a preliminary assessment
of your application before making a request for any additional
information required. Please note although we feel we have submitted the
strongest visa application we can with the available information it is
not until the request letter arrives from your case officer we are aware
the application has been accepted and will be processed. Your medicals
and Police clearances have a validity period of 12 months and if any
unforeseen circumstances should occur within the processing of your
application, and you have obtained the documents early, it could be
detrimental to the time in which you must have made your initial entry.
It seems the only downside to frontloading is the time you will have to
validate. We're not doing it yet 'cos we don't have £600 :eek: after
just shelling out £800 for DIMIA or is it DIC now? We also want to be
pretty sure that we are going to get the visa before we put the house on
the market. We will probably do a validation trip anyway, not sure where
to go Brisbane or Adelaide.
