Skilled Migration to OZ is an option only if I have a job offer as my
profession(IT) requires 4 years of full time experience to be granted a
skilled migrant visa in that category and I have only two at present. So,
either I can wait for 2 more years or find an employer in OZ which can
increase my points. For NZ I don't qualify without a job offer as they seem
to have a different system where job offer is required for IT folks.

My skill is in MODL. I tried to apply to Australian companies through
seek.com.au, but none of them were not willing to sponsor a work permit for
someone residing overseas.

No other pathway than waiting for 2 years or finding a sponsor employer.
This is where some migration agents told me they can help me in getting a
sponsor employer to OZ/NZ. This astonished me so I posted to find out if
that actually occurred(using a migration agent who can help you land a
job). I can believe if a migration agent claims if he/she can help me in
applying, but getting jobs surprised me. Some might have contacts with some
OZ/NZ companies as you suggest, but I just don't want to be in a situation
where most Canadian immigrants are as per
http://www.notcanada.com/top8reasons.htm

Someone I know mentioned to me if there was a skill shortage Australian
companies would sponsor work permits and if migration agents could help a
lot of people get jobs then there would be a HUGE number of influx of
people from India/China to Australia due to which the demand would have
been filled a while ago. Just as if in a particular area soap is in high
demand there would be a plethora of soap manufacturers in no time in that
area.

This left me thinking.

Thanks for your time.
