Hey Gary
We are in the process of doing this just now. Hoping to have a firm
offer today or tomorrow.
Firsty you express a note of interest 'here'
You need to contact WACOT (their general teaching council) to get them
to say you are eligable to teach - you could do this just now. You
need your degree ( certified) and your acedemic transcript (also
certified).
We did it a bit 'arse to elbow' in that we had interview before we
actually applied - normally it's the other way round.
Time scale wise, we are hoping to be over to start the induction
programme on the 19th Jan 09 - that is the soonest, as they only take
over seas teachers in July and Jan.
We've been looking into this for a year - so i really know all there is
to know about the process.
Last thing is that they are only interested in certain subjects, can't
remember what you said you wanted to do. They only want:
Mathematics
Physics and Chemistry
English and English Literature
Design and Technology
Home Economics
Languages other than English
Biology and Human Biology.
I have information that was sent to me by the department of education
and training, if you want i can forward that to you?
