Re: Defacto Visa / Bridging Visa Queries? Posted on: Fri, 16 May 2008 02:02:56 +0000

Hi thanks for the reply.

I understand that my partner will obtain a bridging visa once her
holiday visa expires but what im concerned about is that her 6 month
period of work in her present job runs out 1 month before the end of
her holiday visa. Will she have to leave the job for a month and then
when her bridging visa is active she can go back to her job?

I was kind of under the impression that once she applies for further
stay her holiday visa would be replace with a bridging visa? I wasnt
under the impression that her holiday visa would have to run its course
before the bridging visa would come into effect?

Are there any work restrictions while she is on her bridging visa
waiting on the outcome of her defacto?

Thanks again everyone. Without this forum I would probably still be in
Scotland!

Cheers
