Re: Applying for Work & Holiday (subclass 462) after filing for Permanent Residency Visa? Posted on: Fri, 16 May 2008 02:07:53 +0000

Hi

This is exactly what I done. Except not I was a UK applicant. Once my
case officer was assigned i made plans to leave Australia. (Went back
to the UK but could be anywhere!) I sent my travel itinerary to my
agent so that they knew when i was out of the country. Once out the
country the agent made there decision and informed me and all i had to
do was send my passport away to the Australian Embassy to have the visa
inserted into my passport. After that I travelled back to Australia and
had my passport stamped on arrival as a permanent resident! All in it
only took a couple of weeks.

Hope this helps.
