Dear all,
I would like to obtain some invaluable feedback from fellow forum
members on the subject of police clearance.
I applied for an independent 175 visa in March as an offshore
applicant, my medicals have been finalized and the status of my
application is stated as being “processed further”.
My application has been dormant after my medicals were finalized In
April.
Anyway, the character requirement category on the department of
immigration’s website states that:
“If you are applying outside Australia, you do not have to provide this
information when you apply. You will be advised when it is required.”
As I will be posted to the United Arab Emirates for work in the next
month or so, would it be safe for me to send off my police clearance to
the Adelaide skills processing centre prior to the request from a case
officer?
As I have lived in Western Australia for 3 years as an undergraduate
student, I will have to provide a police clearance from the Australian
Federal Police on top of a character assessment from Malaysia.
Would it be wise to send in the aforementioned documents prior to the
request from a case officer?
I have since obtained the character assessment letter from Malaysia
except for the police clearance from Canberra.
Thanks and regards
Mark
