I am new to this forum, but have followed this thread.
I am a SIR 475 Visa applicant and below is my timeline.
Started With Migration Agent - June 08
IELTS Exam Result (Band Score 7) - July 08
Vetassess Assessment Positive Reply - Oct 08
SA State Sponsorship Received - Jan 09
Online 475 visa Application with DIAC - Jan 09
Medicals & PCC Done - Feb 09
Form 1100 sent by Immi SA to DIAC - Mar 09
Case Officer - Not Assigned
Since March to August waiting for any progress on my case.
August end I called DIAC and after several attempts got thru the
operator who informed me that my case is pending since they did not
receive the Form 1100 from Immi SA. I was told to follow up with Immi
SA. I called Immi SA the same day, the operator said she will resend
the Form 1100. After 2 days I received another confirmation e-mail for
Form 1100 from IMMI SA.
Yesterday I called DIAC again to check if they received Form 1100 and
was told that they have not received Form 1100 yet and my case is
pending for the same reason. She told me to follow up after 2 weeks.
In between March to August my agent sent several PLE’s but did not
receive any reply. I send a PLE in August and got a reply that only my
agent is authorized to receive any information. However that was not
the case when I called them personally.
For those trying to contact DIAC thru phone – I tried using VOIP but it
did not work, I called from a normal line and was kept on hold for
approximately 18 to 20 minutes before I got an operator to answer my
queries and left me with a whopping phone bill.
Hoping for some good news soon as I wanted to move to SA before the new
academic year begins to enroll my children in school.
