Hi Nisty and Rufndtuf;
As for as work is concerned, ideally they are sponsoring you to meet
the demand of skill shortage. Do you people know, how they develop
these skill shortage lists? They perform market analysis, and see how
much shortage is there... if it is significant and it can not be met by
there own graduates then they put it into the shortage list. This is
what happened here ? People do the hospitality diploma course and they
continue the same odd job like Taxi or Security. Then Government after
a fixed time.... did the market analysis and they wondered that the
shortage is still there.... even after granting lots and lots of PR
visa to hospitality graduates. So I have heard that they are gonna
strict in this regard, which I would say makes a sense. Because they
give you visa for some specific profession.
But legally it not mentioned anywhere that you have to work in your
nominated profession. But they suppose that migrants will work in the
nominated profession. It is not mentioned anywhere.... so you are not
bound to work in that profession only.
As for as moving to other state is concerned.... "on the basis of not
finding a job in specific profession:.... I know one of my friend who
got 495 visa... about a year ago... which was the same visa of 475 (
regional sponsored Provisional visa). The conditions mentioned
mentioned on that visa were... that he can not work in any metropolitan
area of Australia. But he can work in any regional area of Australia...
not limited to that specific state only. Therefore... you can work any
part of Australia... which is considered regional in definitions of
DIAC. DIAC has defined the areas for this purpose .... somewhere on
their web site. Like ADelaide and whole South Australia State is
regional... Whole Tasmania is regional....as so on.....
After living 2 years and working 1 year in regional area... you can
apply for PR on the basis of one year tax return as a proof of 1 year
work.... thats it. But be careful.... when working... no one will ask
you that you are working in a metropolitan area and not in regional
area... its your responsibility to work only in regional area...
otherwise.... when applying for PR they will ask you... that where you
worked and if it was not located in regional area........ you may be in
trouble.... like they refuse PR visa application or even may cancel you
TR visa too... on the basis of violation of conditions of previous (TR)
visa.
... so before you start a job.... confirm it that it is in the
regional area of Australia....:x
Hope it clarifies...
Regards
