Subject: Qualification as a Mechanical Engineer, But doubt on recent work experience Posted on: Wed, 4 Nov 2009 22:12:04 +0000

Hello Ladies and Gents,

I did my Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. After that, I
worked with a company as a Mechanical Engineer for 9 months. After
that, I joined a new company as an Application Engineer mainly
responsible for working with the sales teams to deal with customers and
clients for the sales and implementation of Engineering Design Software.
I have now been doing this job from the last more than one year.

I want to apply as GSM 175 Visa and nominate my occupation as
Mechanical Engineer. I believe I can also get positive skills
assessment from Engineers Australia based on my projects in Engineering
University and first job as a Mechanical Engineer. The only problem is
that I don't know if I meet the recent work experience requirement?
Because I am not sure if my current job with sales responsibilities of
Engineering Software falls under Mechanical Engineering or IT? Please
help me with this.

Thanks and Regards ...
