If the software, you are talking about is related to Mech. Eng and you
have worked for development, consultancy and support of the software,
then I believe you fulfill the current experience requirement.
But, I suggest you to get advice from an experienced migration agent
who is specialized in engineering cases.QUOTE=123Kid;196911]Hello
Ladies and Gents,
I need advice from those of you who are applying (or have applied) as
Engineers.
Just a little bit about my background... I did my Bachelor's degree in
Mechanical Engineering. After that, I worked with a Manufacturing
Company as a Mechanical Engineer for 9 months. I then resigned and
joined a new company. This new company works in the areas of
"Development, Sales, Consultancy, and Technical Support" of
"Engineering Software". My job title at this company is Application
Engineer and I am mainly responsible for working with the sales teams
and dealing with clients for the sales and implementation of
Engineering Software. Our clients include the engineering companies who
purchase our Engineering Software. I have now been doing this job from
the last more than one year.
I want to apply as GSM 175 Visa and nominate my occupation as
Mechanical Engineer. I believe I can also get positive skills
assessment from Engineers Australia based on my projects in Engineering
University and first job as a Mechanical Engineer. The only problem is
that I don't know if I meet the recent work experience requirement as
Mechanical Engineer? Because I am not sure if my current job with sales
responsibilities of Engineering Software falls under Mechanical
Engineering or IT? Also, just like I explained above, this company is
an Engineering Software development company.
Can you seniors working as engineers please help me with this.
Thanks and Regards ...
