...and the working holiday visa could be withdrawn as it could be seen
as fraudulent, since your intentions were not as stated. If you're planning
on sponsoring them NEXT year, why not submit the sponsorship applications
NOW to get the ball rolling and possibly save time?

Chances are he would not, for the reasons outlined above.

Generally speaking, as long as you have the funds and can demonstrate
the ability to support the sponsored party, you are A-OK. If you haven't
already done so, lining up a job would be a goon thing.
