That's right, wages would escalate to a point where Americans would do
the jobs......but so would inflation and interest rates. Then you would
see a slow down in economic activity, loss of purchasing power, a
depreciation of the US Dollar and an acceleration of jobs being exported
to lower cost countries.

Besides, don't you know, reports have indicated that us "useless"
immigrants are helping to keep Medicare and Social Security solvent for
just a little longer since we increase the tax base so the politicans do
not have to raise your taxes and hear alot of whining. Just look at
Europe and its rapidly aging population.

So before you xenophobes go crying about the awful immigrants, a little
research and thought would be helpful. I'll admit, there are some valid
arguments against CERTAIN (not all, I notice that anti-immigration rants
always confuse and lump all categories and types of immigration
together, probably because they don't have a good and coherent case and
is just trying to distract attention) types of immigration, but you do
not appear to mention any of them.

By the way, many immigrants probably have more education that the
average American (just walk into any Phd department or high tech company
in the US and see for yourself).
