... how much time I have before it expires? I know that in the past, you had
one year after the medical exams to make use of the visa and request the
permanent residence (of course... if you get physically the visa six months
after the medical exams then you would only have six months to land and
request the permanent residence).

Are the rules different these days?

In the event that I am not ready to immigrate but the deadline is close...
can I land... ask for the residence.... and go back to my country (Mexico)
for let's say 4 or 5 months (probably to sell the house and shutdown my
business) and then move formally to Canada?
