Subject: In land spousal Posted on: Sun, 02 Nov 2003 20:06:47 EST

Thanks to all the information provided on this newsgroup. The time line has
been as follows:
Entered Canada accepting position under NAFTA Feb 2002
Married Dec 2002
In land application received by CIC April 28
"In Process" on e-client on May 13 with note that a letter for more
information was sent
AIP October 20
Appointment for landing interview sent a week letter, interview to be held
next month, requested to bring originals of documents submitted with
application for PR. The interview to be held in the city where we live. I
have not seen this on the newsgroup before(?)

We had the usual headaches with marriage in Ontario, CIC wanted second
X-ray, which the lab said was not unusual, etc.
Canadian Customs was very helpful in getting the car imported from US on a
temporary basis. In fact everyone I dealt with was courteous and helpful. It
seems if you are honest and explain whatever difficulty you are having, they
are quite responsive. I found everything I needed to know here and on the
CIC website
Thanks again
