Of course that you must reside in Canada in order to sponsor parents. And
you must earned enough money after becoming a PR within 12 months prior to
application to qualify as a sponsor. having $$ in the bank is not enough,
you need to show that you are not only earning required amount but also that
you have good perspective to continue earning it. And you need to prove that
you live in Canada.
