It's usually a good idea to stay long enough to get Canadian
citizenship, as British people can have dual citizenship. That way
you can move back and forth as you like in future.
Same applies if you do sponsor your wife to live in the UK in future,
after three years she can claim British citizenship and it would make
sense to do so if living in the UK for a few years.
