Subject: Re: Minimum time given before visa expires? Posted on: Wed, 05 Nov 2003 08:24:19 +0000

Same question as in my earlier post above. Does anyone have an answer (
a guess at least)?

Hello,

I am waiting for my visa. Finished medicals in March, 2003. Have not
heard anything since then. I know validity of visa is one year from the
date of medicals and that visa officer is empowered to extend the end-of-
validity date at his discretion depending on circumstances.

What I want to know is:

1) Is there a minimum amount of time ( generally) that CIC provides
before validity ceases? Is it 3 months or less?

2) If less than 3 months, is there a workaround if time insufficient to
make the move to Canada?

Thank you
