Dear Chris
You are one of my dear Canadian fellows. Since I have chosen to immigrate to
this country and plan to love and protect this country with my life. I will
need to love you as one of my Canadian brothers. I am grateful to be able to
live in this wonderful country and to become a Canadian.
I should feel sorry about my Chinese brothers and sisters that they should
have learned English well enough before coming to Canada. Otherwise, their
humble and conservative attitude fearing losing faces in dealing with
English speaking people will easily be conceived as hostile and be regarded
as showing no interesting in integrating into Canadian society. I should
also feel sorry for the first generation Chinese Canadian who had scarified
for their family by taking whatever jobs available in order to support their
children to be better educated and integrated into Canadian society.
Hopefully what they can't achieve can eventually be the playground of their
children.
Many immigrants come to Canada with the hope that they can eventually bring
peace and happiness to their family and beyond. They all had the hope that
they could get established and accepted in Canada eventually. From your
comments, it is obvious that Chinese Canadian have not done enough to make
people like you believe that they could be contributory to help Canada
expand the economic influence into Asia.
Please give us some reasonable doubts. If we can not be trustful to you, our
children might. Canada will sure have citizen capable of speaking Chinese
and English well enough to help Canada do business in Asia.
Nice talking to you.
