Dear All,
I got my file transfered from USA Los Angeles office to Islamabad
office and got an acknowledgement and new file number on Nov 08,2001.I
filed for my spouse in Jan 2002 and at that time I submitted the ROLF
for my wife and myself as well.The estimated processing time given is
36-42 months on the AOR.
During mid June 2003, after around 1.5 yrs, I got a two letters from
CHC Islamabad; one asking to submit the MBBS(graduation) degree of my
spouse and second informing me about new immigration rules with
increased number of points and to appear in Ielts exam and complete
the new immigration forms.I submitted my wife's degree within 30 days
and sent the new completed application forms for me and my wife and
Ielts exam result in the third week of July 2003.
Since my file was transfered before Jan 1 2002 to Islamabad, so I
received a letter on Aug 20th 2003 from CHC Islamabad that they are
stopping the processing till further notice as a result of the court
orders issued on 20th June to the Minister of Immigration to reduce
the immigration points.
Minister of immigration announced on Sep 18 2003 the new law of
reducing the points to 67.
I have not yet received any letter or acknowledgment of receipt of my
application forms, ielts test results and degree of my spouse.
Does anyone has any information about the current processing trends at
CHC Islamabad after the new law to lower the immigration points?Has
anyone simialr case like I have.
Note that initially as I told that I filed at USA and I got my medical
papers and Interview call but due to not having USA visa I could not
go to attend the interview hence transferred my file to Islamabad.
Please advise.
